Pressing the shutter button when shooting on a tripod can cause unwanted motion. The DMW-RS2E remote shutter solves this issue while making it easy to shoot bursts, or hold the shutter open for extended periods of time.
A Start/Stop button is also provided for videography.

The video Start/Stop button feature can be used for compatible digital cameras: Lumix S1, S1R, GH5 / GH5S and G9 (as of February 1, 2019).
It may not be possible to use this feature for Panasonic digital cameras equipped with a remote socket sold in or before January 2019.
NOTE: For GH5 / GH5S and G9, firmware must be updated to the latest version.
