A heavy-duty cast aluminum alloy bracket which features a counterbalance mechanism designed to prevent the speedlite from flopping over when the knob is loosened. With a non-slip aluminum disk, two aluminum brackets and a ratcheting locking handle, the speedlite or lighting fixture is able to be locked securely in place and there is also a hole with a knob-screw to lock an umbrella shaft in place. It includes two removable, reversible studs to adapt to light stands with top studs smaller than the standard 5/8”. An universal cold-shoe adapter is included for accepting virtually any shoe-mount flash unit. Additionally, the adjustable locking handle, wide tilt angle, and oversized knobs add to its overall functionality.
